Our poor dogs have been cooped up in the house lately because we haven't found a good spot to take them running yet here; we decided to take them to Hilton Head Island because they allow pets on the beach there. We drove up one day after Dustin got off work and to our surprise the dogs loved the ocean! I don't particularly like swimming or being in the ocean (I would rather just look at it) but Dustin went out pretty far and the dogs followed him. The dogs were so tired afterward but had a great time.
The next day we went out for our first Turkey hunting experience here! We didn't see anything but heard a bunch of turkeys, and got a ton of bug bites! We learned our lesson and went armed with bug spray next time. We also bought each of us a pair of snake boots-they are ridiculous looking but from what we hear they are a must have in the swamps of Georgia.
